Today is the first workday since Skeeter and Pork Chop began their four week vacation away. I have big plans to accomplish this month while they are gone!

1. Clean and Organize the attic

2. Garage “Man Cave” Project

- Paint Garage

- Build workbench and shelves

- Cover garage floor with rubber tiles

3. Paint master bath

4. Paint trim and doors in house

5. Paint Skeeter and Pork Chops room

6. Build shoe shelves in boys closet

Whew I am tired already! This weekend after the Jet Skis were serviced we went out to a local lake for some fun! We had a great time. BUT, we sucked a ski rope up the impeller, that was the end of the day for that ski. And the other one still will not idle well.

Other than that it was a great weekend! I will post some pictures of my attic and garage progress later today.

Sorry for the lack of updates this week. Cub Scout camp was taxingLOL&Skis 022 and then we had Fathers day! We took the Jet Skis to the lake and had a good time.

The day was not without technical difficulties. One of the skis would not idle and the other has a battery problem.

The joys of jet ski ownership.

So for Fathers Day I got sandals and two jet skis! What a Fathers Day!

There is an interesting article below, but trust me I did not feel this way!

Today was the first day of Twilight Camp for 2009. All three of us are at camp. Skeeter is with the Bear Den, Pork Chop is in the Tot Lot and I am leading a Wolf Den. The camp is from 3 pm – 8 pm daily until Friday.

It is at least 100 degrees and every evening I will be beat! My posts will probably be sparse this week as a result.

Have a great week!

Our family does a fair amount of travelling. We have some very close friends that live in San Antonio and Dallas which is only three hours away so we go often.

On my last trip while getting ready I had the smart idea that I would make a standard list that I can use to pack.

This weekend we made one of those weekend trips to San Antonio and I remembered the checklist that I saved! What a time saver! I simply printed it out, slapped it on a clip board and I was done making the list.

Obviously you will want to modify the list and make it your own, but here is ours.

Since the boys are home I hear two things too often:

“ I am hungry” and “I am bored”

Keeping two young boys occupied and fed is a challenge!  I made this health snack for them yesterday and they loved it. It is delicious and does not have too much fat or sugar.

Green Apple Dip

Ingredients:

1 – 7 oz. Kraft Marshmallow Cream Jar

1 – 8 oz. Package of Cream Cheese ( Do Not Use the Low Fat Version )

2 – Medium Green Apples

1. Remove cream cheese from refrigerator and let soften for 1 hour

2. While cream cheese is softening, pour marshmallow cream into a large mixing bowl and let sit for remainder of hour.

3. Add cream cheese to marshmallow cream and mix until smooth and fully combined.

4. Slice green apples into dipping slices.

5. Refrigerate for 30 minutes prior to serving.

Enjoy!
