Everyone loves the Holidays! We all over indulge in food of all sorts! For us family meals are huge breakfasts! Eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, fresh homemade tortillas, hot sauce and sometimes more! We spent a week with family eating, laughing, drinking and having a great time.

I hunted birds with my sons. Rode the four-wheeler and enjoyed. We took a ton of pictures!  I loaded the camera memory card into my laptop and eagerly take a look.

The kids are so cute! They had a great time and then I ran into this picture of myself from behind.  Ouch! I knew I had a belly. I knew I had love handles, but seeing this picture I realized that I was very overweight and that it was time to get it under control.

Today I started a health eating program for myself and the family.  I will still once per week cook something new and inevitably fattening, but for the most part I am going to load the family up with a healthy diet.

The sad part is that I know how to eat. I have an account at My Calorie Counter where I will track my food intake.

Tomorrow I will weigh in and measure my fat!

Thanksgiving break has allowed me a little free time from housework and volunteering. Some  time to enjoy getting outdoors with the kiddos.

My in-laws have about 5 acres on the edge of a little town in New Mexico. There is lots of dirt to play in and plenty of birds to shoot at with their BB guns.

Skeeter has had a very good day of hunting. Today he shot 2 sparrows! He is very excited. This is not his first kill, but it is the first time that he killed two birds in one day. I am very proud of him. Pork Chop was feeling a little left out but luckily Tio Shorty had a smaller BB Gun that he could use. He learned some basic safety and how to shoulder and fire the gun. He can hit a can at about ten feet which I think is fantastic!

For those of you who know no Spanish. Tio is uncle in Spanish.  More good times are to come this trip!

Hello all! Once again I am going to be making an apology in my post to you all. I have been very busy with school, work, Scouts, baseball and the house.

The main site I update now is CubScoutPack404.com which is my son’s Cub Scout troop. We are on vacation this week. Unfortunately no one is off until Wednesday night so we find ourselves at someone else’s home and they are not home : (

At least we still have an internet connection and I can do some thing productive.
