Pets are a blessing. Really. Today however as I watch the painting crew from Gonzalez General Painting arrive in my house and begin to set up shop, I really have to wonder about the validity of the claim on BestFriendsPetCare.com
About two weeks ago as I was putting all of the Christmas decorations into
the attic. While doing so the cats wandered into the attic. Of course the wild cat Astro managed to get stuck in the eve of the house between two rafters. The boys are freaking out worrying that the cat will die up there. Therefore I am up in the attic rummaging around trying to locate the cat. Skeeter, Pork Chop and I can hear Astro meowing but I cannot see her. Finally after about an hour I find her and rescue her from the attic. What a hero huh? Maybe not a hero like my friend over at Clark Kent’s Lunchbox, but a hero the same. Except…as you can see in the photo on the right, I missed a rafter and stuck my leg through the kitchen ceiling. : )
I consider myself lucky. At least I did not fall completely through. My only injury was a bruised butt cheek and pride : (
After getting very irate and threatening to get rid of the cats, making the boys cry and showing my very childish side, we still have cats.
Many friends and my father offered to take care of the cats for .25 cents. If you do not know what that means, they are referring to the cost of a bullet. And at the time that .25 cents sounded real good, but it would devastate the boys. They do love the cats.
So today I am looking at the scene on the left : )
